Sharad praises Rakesh Bedi as an actor
Speaking about his performance, Sharad Sankla says, "Rakesh ji is a truly brilliant actor because he puts his heart and soul into every scene. No matter what role he is given, he always performs it with complete dedication. In Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, he plays Mehta Sahab’s boss, and whenever he comes on set, you can feel the presence of a live performer. You may have seen his earlier work as well. Even before Dhurandhar, he played the role of a Pakistani officer in another film, and he portrayed the character exceptionally well in that film also."
He added, "What I want to say is that actors of his generation who are trained stage performers are all brilliant. Once they understand a character, they naturally pick up the mannerisms and deliver the role with their own inputs. Rakesh Bedi is a perfect example of that. There are many such actors, but since you mentioned Rakesh Bedi, he truly stands out."
In the same interview, Sharad Sankla spoke about his long association with his show's producer Asit Kumarr Modi. He shared, "As everyone knows, Asit Kumar Modi is my friend. We actually worked together on Neela Tele Films’ very first show. In a way, I was his lucky charm because I gave him the first shot for his production house, which is considered an auspicious beginning. That’s why he has always considered me lucky. When Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah began, I wasn’t working for nearly seven to eight years. I don’t know exactly why, but either I wasn’t getting work or I was going through a phase of struggle."
