Tannaz Irani reveals she was thrown out of her home due to her relationship with Bakhtiyaar

In a recent podcast with RJ Anmol and Amrita Rao called 'Couple of Things', Tannaz and Bakhtiyaar opened up about their love story in detail for the first time. During the conversation, the couple shared that they had lived together for a year before getting married. However, this decision did not sit well with Tannaz’s family, who were quite upset about it.

When RJ Anmol asked if Tannaz and Bakhtiyaar had been kicked out of their home, Tanaaz shared that her family had indeed thrown both her and Bakhtiyaar out because they were against their relationship. Tannaz explained, ""It was my birthday, he was thrown out of the home. Everyone was congratulating me, and hum duno idli or sambhar kha rahe the."

Bakhtiyaar went on to explain the situation, revealing that Tannaz's family was planning a trip and had given her an ultimatum—to leave the house if she intended to stay in the relationship with him. Tannaz mentioned that she asked Bakhtiyaar to go, as she wanted to have a conversation with her family. However, Bakhtiyaar was in tears and couldn’t stop crying.

Reflecting on that moment, Tannaz shared, "Toh main ne Bakhtiyaar ko kaha please ghar choro please ghar se bahar jao main apni family se baat karna chahti hoon. And woh ro raha tha bechara. I was also confused. Woh rote-rote ghar par aaya (I told Bakhtiyaar, ‘Please leave the house, I need to talk to my family.’ He was so helpless, crying. I was also confused about what to do. He came home in tears)."



Tannaz shared that she persuaded Bakhtiyaar to leave the house, but he told her that if she didn’t come down, he would return upstairs in half an hour. As he was about to leave, Tannaz took his hand and told him, "I’m coming." She reassured him that they would be together after that.

Bakhtiyaar revealed that when he returned upstairs, Tannaz informed him that she had also been thrown out of the house. Tannaz mentioned that they had nowhere to go, so she stayed with her girlfriends while Bakhtiyaar arranged a place for them to live together.

Tannaz disclosed that both their families were opposed to their relationship. She explained that convincing their families wasn’t an easy task, but they were determined to have both families present at their wedding. They agreed not to get married until their families were on board.
