Tanya Abrol: I have never said a no to any role in my career
Actress Tanya Abrol will soon be seen playing a cop in the show Mauka-E-Vardaat. It has been quite some time that she has not done a full-fledged role on TV. Last seen in the show C.I.D, she also she did a cameo in Maddam Sir recently.
“I am really excited to be a part of a show with a full-fledged role after such a long now. I had done my last show C.I.D. in 2016. I also did a Punjabi film. I have never said no to any role in my career. I have never been that choosy actor. Be it Bollywood or television, I am an actor and I'm happy to get an opportunity to work. Nothing is big or small for me,” says Tanya.
Tanya rose to fame when she did the movie Chak De! India in 2007. Post that, hockey has been close to her heart and she was thrilled recently when the women's hockey team did well at the Tokyo Olympics.
“I was glued to the screen during the entire Olympics. Seeing the women hockey players on the field brought back so many memories. I could relate to everything because during our film, we too trained. I remember feeling that sense of pride and happiness. Not only hockey, I follow all other sports as well,” says Tanya.
In college, she was very active in sports and used to play basketball.
Even though she was active in sports, she eventually got into acting after a chance audition. She shares, "I once casually went for an audition without any thought. But after I finished auditioning, I felt this is what I want to do in life. And ever since t has been like that."
Meanwhile, the actress is gearing up to start shooting for the show Mauka-E-Vardaat with other actors namely Aman Verma, Shahbaz Khan and Gaurav Khanna. The crew will soon start shooting for their episodes.
