The 50: Prince Narula’s team hits back at Nikki Tamboli’s body-shaming allegations, slams dragging his one-year-old daughter into the controversy
Nikki Tamboli, currently seen as a contestant on The 50, took to social media to slam Prince Narula over his alleged body-shaming remark. Her team shared a post questioning his conduct as a “so-called husband, father, and public figure.” Now, Prince Narula’s team has reacted to the post and issued a statement. In the statement, his team clarified that the remark was made in a light-hearted moment inside the house, but it appears to have been taken in a negative way.The statement read, "he humour that was shared happened in a light, spontaneous moment where everyone in the room was laughing, teasing, and even poking fun at themselves — including Prince. The intent was never to single anyone out or to hurt, insult, or demean. It was one of those playful exchanges that naturally happen when people are comfortable and the atmosphere is easy. What is important to acknowledge is context and timing. The jokes were made openly in the house and were not objected to at the time. If something truly felt offensive or unacceptable, it could have been addressed then — or even by her team from outside the house. In fact, nearly twelve days passed before this was raised as a serious issue, even though we are all aware that contestants are informed about what is being said about them. The absence of any reaction during that time shows that it was understood for what it was — a light-hearted moment, not a personal attack."
His team further said, "We respect feelings, and if someone later felt uncomfortable, that deserves to be expressed. But turning a casual, mutual exchange into a major controversy after so much time, and reframing it as something malicious, distorts the reality of what happened. What is truly not right is taking this discussion further by dragging family — especially a one-year-old child — into it. Making statements about how someone’s daughter might be spoken about in the future crosses a line that should never be crossed. Disagreements and hurt feelings should remain between the adults involved and within the context of the moment, not be projected onto innocent family members. There is a clear difference between shared humour in a group and deliberate disrespect. This was the former, not the latter. Let’s keep the conversation honest, fair, and grounded in the full context rather than escalating it into something it was never meant to be."

For the uninitiated, during an episode of The 50 Prince reportedly commented on Nikki’s lips. Talking to Shiv and his team members, Prince commented on Nikki and said, "Nikki bilkul theek thi pehle. Uske face pe expressions nahi aate the Pehle. Phir maine doctor ko bulaake (hints at lip fillers by making pouty face) ye karaya."
Her team has now shared the clip on X, formerly known as Twitter, and said that mocking someone behind their back isn’t power. She wrote on X, “So-called husband, father, public figure. If someone spoke about your daughter’s body like this, would you laugh too? This isn’t strategy. This isn’t a game. This is body-shaming done quietly — the coward’s way.”
Nikki added, “Cameras don’t cancel character. Influence doesn’t excuse disrespect. Mocking someone behind their back isn’t power. If you have something to say, say it to my face. Behind-the-back mocking isn’t strength it’s fear pretending to be confidence. And influence without responsibility? That’s not leadership. That’s failure. That’s weakness with an audience.”
