The 50 winner Shiv Thakare says ‘genuine love’ in the industry is rare, calls it mostly ‘jugaad’
Shiv Thakare, who recently won the reality show ‘The 50,’ keeps fans updated with his personal and professional life through social media. He recently appeared on a podcast with FilmyGyan, where he opened up about his love life, industry relationships, and much more.
Shiv shared how ‘genuine love’ in the industry is rare and is often ‘jugaad.’ He also spoke about his idea of ‘love’ and how he’s yet to experience it. The reality show star said, “Jis industry mein hum kaam karte hain, wahan har project ek alag tarah ka hota hai. Wahan pyaar bhi hota hai, lekin aksar woh sirf jugaad hota hai.”
He further said, “Jugaad kya hota hai, yeh sabko pata hai. Saccha pyaar toh woh hota hai ki agar aap kisi se sach mein pyaar karte hain, toh set par jaakar bhi aap uss rishte ko nibha pao, ya phir aapko sach mein kuch feel ho. Varna kai baar kuch bhi mehsoos nahi hota. Shayad abhi tak mujhe waisa saccha pyaar nahi mila hai, mere saath toh ab tak aisa hi raha hai.”
(English translation: In the industry we work in, every project is a different kind of experience. There is love too, but often it’s just jugaad (adjustment or convenience). What jugaad is, everyone already knows. True love is when, if you genuinely love someone, you can still carry that relationship even on set, or at least feel something real. Otherwise, many times you don’t feel anything at all. Maybe I haven’t experienced that kind of true love yet; that’s how it has been for me so far.)
Clips from the podcast have been surfacing on social media, with fans reacting to it. Many agreed with Shiv in the comment section, while others expressed that they were unaware of the relationship dynamics in the industry. On the work front, Shiv has been a part of reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi, Bigg Boss, and more.
