Bhopal

has become a hotspot for shoots of films and shows. A few days ago, actors

Kamya Panjabi

and Vivek Madaan wrapped up the shooting of a short film in Bhopal. The project was shot over a period of five days in several parts of Bhopal. To show the local side of the city, various old and new places were chosen as the location for the shoot.

Writer Anubhuti Beohar shares, “Kamya plays the role of Zahida, a politician, while Vivek’s character Akhtar plays an important role in her life. I had written this script in my college and now it is finally taking shape after so many years.”

Apart from Kamya and Vivek, local theatre artists of the city, including Saroj Sharma, Balendra Singh, Archana Kumar and Tana Rao, were also spotted shooting for the project.

Last year Kamya made headlines when she announced that she will be joining a political party. Talking about it in an interview she had said, "It had been on my mind for many years. Even when I was at the peak of my TV career, I was certain that I wanted to join politics in the future. When my show Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki ended in September, I started working on what I had envisioned for myself. Tehseen Poonawalla, whom I met on Bigg Boss 13 (she made an appearance on the show as a celebrity guest), learnt about my political aspirations. He realised that I had the potential and guided me through it. I want to serve my country and work on causes I strongly feel for. Besides other things, I want to focus on women empowerment and help those who suffer domestic violence in our country. I, too, have suffered silently in the past for many years. The desire to join politics stems from a strong cause. I am not hungry for power, I just want to work. "
