Vikas Sethi
Life is a gift. We need to reach out and seek help when we’re going through tough times. I have experienced a bad phase and know how difficult it is. My wife Jhanvi Sethi works for an NGO that focuses on mental well-being and always tells me that it is okay to be sad, scared, and vulnerable. However, it is also important to realise that you can get help to process your emotions when it gets overwhelming. This is why awareness about mental health is so important. Don’t hesitate to help those around you or even yourself.

Amit Sarin

We are what we think, not who we think we are. Our thoughts emanate a certain feeling, which leads to emotions. Thoughts are very powerful and if we allow them to be negative, it can lead to adverse behavioural, psychological and health outcomes. Think positive, see positive and be positive. Being an actor and going through countless rejections – this was the only mantra that kept me going. In that sense, I have seen success and failure, too, but I was able to see both as an outcome to efforts and it didn't define me as a person. Yes, in India, talking about or dealing with mental wellness is still looked down upon and ignored big time. Just like having a healthy body, mental health/ wellness should be normal and treated or dealt with accordingly.

Aaira Dwivedi
Being an actor, you will see both highs and lows. Give yourself another day, another chance and you will find your courage eventually. I have always found that when I am in a good place mentally, it helps me stand tall and feel confident. I try and make sure that external things don't affect me. It is necessary for people to open up about mental health and depression. Also, no one will connect with you overnight, so we have to constantly stay in touch with people we care about.

Arun MandolaVery few people focus on mental health. Depression is very common these days. Problems should also be shared with the right person who will be a true friend.

Sudipto Balav
People know about actors suffering from depression, but in reality, individuals in any field can be suffering from depression. Mental health is an extremely delicate issue and there are several platforms from where we can seek help. Never hesitate to reach out.

Kettan Singh
So many people go through depression, whether for personal or professional reasons, but society makes it a social stigma by saying that person is mad or eccentric. If you come in this industry just for the glamour and glitter, you will see the dark side soon, but if you are here to follow your passion, then you may be spared the dark side because your work will speak for you. Life is unpredictable. Currently, due to the lockdown, many people are facing mental health issues. But please reach out if your thoughts are overwhelming you.

Everybody feels low from time to time in their personal and professional life. Pain, happiness, sorrow, joy, gratitude, regret, anger, attitude, revenge – these are normal human emotions. I believe pain comes from expectations about the future. When things don’t turn out the way you wanted them you, your mind goes off. Focus on being positive and surround yourself with well-meaning friends and family.

Pranitaa Pandit
I don’t think that depression is a social stigma anymore, at least in big cities. It is common because of the kind of lifestyles we lead. The kind of pressure we are living with causes anxiety and everyone must have gone through difficult situations in life. None of us are perfect, so we should stop being judgmental and accept things the way they are.

Bhoomika Mirchandani
First and foremost, you have to love yourself. That will go a long way in making sure your mental health is not compromised.
