TV show Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi's veteran filmmaker Manjul Sinha passes away due to a massive heart attack; Producer Ashoke Pandit extends condolences
Manjul Sinha, a veteran director who made significant contributions to Indian television, has died. He died from a huge heart attack in Goa, leaving the film, television, and advertising industries in mourning.
Manjul Sinha was well-known for his work on the iconic television show Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, which brought joy to homes across the country. His storytelling and direction had a long-term impact on Indian television in its early days.
Filmmaker and Producer Ashoke Pandit had worked closely with Manjul, he expressed his grief and shared, "Manjul Sinha Ji, a very well-known Television producer and director passed away yesterday. He was in Goa with his family and I was told that he suffered a massive heart attack and he passed away. Manjul ji is from FTII and one of the biggest comedy shows was directed by him and Kundan Shah which was 'Yeh jo hai zindagi', he also did a show Mumbai Meri Jaan and a lot many other shows. I had the privilege of working with him as his associate and assistant in his popular TV shows and Ad Films. I assisted him for 10 years, he was a man who believed in discipline, conviction and hard work. He was a very creative man and had a fantastic sense of screenplay and story narration. We are all very sad, he had the best possible time and didn't expect that he would go so soon."
He further shared, "My heartfelt condolences to his family, Vineeta, his son Karan and daughter Simone and their spouses. His extended family, and everyone close to him. The entire family has broken today, I have tremendous memories with him because I started my career in the Industry with him. He caught my finger and took me along so that I become a good filmmaker. We really miss him, we will always keep him in our minds and not forget him."
Manjul Sinha's contributions to Indian entertainment are fondly remembered by those who knew him and the people who saw his performances. His legacy continues to motivate filmmakers and writers.
