Actor Krrip Kapur Suri, currently seen as Arun, a traffic police officer in Udne Ki Aasha, believes that while social media helps actors connect with fans and promote their work, true career longevity comes from talent, not online popularity.
He said, “Social media has become a powerful, free tool for marketing and networking, which encourages actors to stay active online. It has changed the entertainment industry, with casting professionals often using these platforms to discover talent and assess market value. Although I use social media, I am not very active. Thanks to the blessings and the work I have done so far, people already know who I am. I strongly believe that an actor’s success depends mainly on talent and performance. In theory, social media is not essential to succeed as an actor.”
Krrip also highlighted how the entertainment industry is evolving, and the online streaming projects are keeping actors employed. He added, "Actors are enjoying more opportunities with short-form dramas filmed in a vertical aspect ratio for mobile viewing platforms. This emerging format has rapidly created a new, high-volume job market in the entertainment industry.
It is really good to see that every actor is doing something. There is a significant and growing demand for such short steaming stories. From the time I started my career to now, the entertainment industry has changed for good. Actors are enjoying more opportunities and are no more limited. Though the competition is more, the struggle is less compared to past years."
Krrip is also known for featuring in shows like Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal, Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan, Hero – Gayab Mode On, Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey, Kalash, Uttaran among others.
