Uorfi Javed clears the air on last year's swollen face; says 'It wasn’t due to fillers'
Social media sensation and actress, Uorfi Javed, who has always been vocal about her cosmetic procedures, spoke about dissolving her fillers after nearly nine years. Last year, the Splitsvilla fame star revealed that she had dissolved her fillers. Now, Uorfi has shared a series of photos showing her 'swollen face' from nearly a year and a half ago. Reacting to the rumours that spread online at the time, Uorfi said her swollen face was not caused by fillers. She revealed that stress and allergies were the real reasons behind it.
She recently shared a video on Instagram and spoke about old photos taken around a year and a half ago, where her face looked swollen. In the video, she revealed that the swelling was caused by stress and increased cortisol levels. Uorfi also shared that she is allergic to cats and has three pet cats at home, which added to her health issues at the time.
Uorfi shared in the video, "So this was my face 1.5 years ago when everyone said it was ‘fillers gone wrong’. And this is how I look right now. What you were seeing earlier was because of high cortisol and stress. To those who were saying I got fillers or did something, I didn’t get anything done. My face had just swollen up."
She added, "I am also allergic to cats, and I have three cats at home. Slowly I realised that all these were the issues. Earlier, whenever I went to doctors, they would say it’s a sinus problem, but no one was able to clearly identify what was wrong. By the time I finally found out, I already had three cats at home."
She further revealed in the video that she is now focussing on her health and has made a few lifestyle changes. From weight training and working out regularly to undergoing immunotherapy, the social media sensation has started paying attention to her health: "Now I have started lifting weights, working out, and I am undergoing immunotherapy. I am also eating properly. Earlier I didn’t eat much because I wanted to stay very thin. Now I am focusing on wellness, and my face is better. So it was not any filler gone wrong."
On the work front, Uorfi was recently seen in Splitsvilla X6 as a Mischiefmaker.
