Samay Raina’s popular show India’s Got Latent has once again courted controversy, this time involving social media star Uorfi Javed. Reports surfaced that Uorfi walked off the set after facing derogatory remarks from two contestants. Breaking her silence, Uorfi took to Instagram to reveal the shocking details of the incident and called out the behavior she endured during her appearance on the show.
Uorfi shared that one of the contestants slut-shamed her and even compared her to adult film actress Mia Khalifa. She described the remarks as deeply offensive and expressed her disgust. “I think I missed the memo; nowadays people think it’s cool to abuse or slut-shame someone for some views. I’m sorry, but I’m not okay with anyone abusing me or judging my body count (which they don’t even know but assumed must be high). All this for what? For two minutes of fame?” she wrote.

In her post, Uorfi also recounted another disturbing moment when she questioned a contestant about faking a disability. Instead of responding calmly, the contestant became angry and hurled verbal abuse at her on stage in front of the audience. She highlighted how the remarks left her humiliated and deeply hurt.

Uorfi went on to criticize another contestant who tried to appear “cool” by making demeaning comments and expressing disdain over her so-called “high body count.” Disgusted by these actions, she admitted she should have confronted them but refrained due to the environment, where such behavior seemed normalized. “No, it’s not cool. It’s not acceptable,” she added.

The situation escalated further as the show’s host, Samay Raina, reportedly did not intervene, allowing the situation to spiral out of control. Uorfi’s decision to walk out came after feeling unsupported and targeted.

Uorfi concluded by emphasizing that such behavior should never be tolerated, calling on society to stop normalizing abusive and misogynistic remarks. The incident has sparked outrage online, with many supporting Uorfi’s stand against such behavior.
