Actress Vahbiz Dorabjee celebrated Navroz with her dear ones. The festival marks the beginning of the new year and symbolises renewal and rejuvenation. While this year the celebrations were rather low-key, Vahbiz says, "This year the celebrations were simple because I recently lost my grandmother. I celebrated Navroz with my family. We also visited the fire temple which is one tradition that we follow every year."
She adds, "Traditionally there are a lot of sweets that are made in the house which are specially made on this day. This time around we skipped that. But I had a great time with my parents as we spent the entire day together, and went for a grand lunch and dinner. It was some good time spent together."
Ask her which is her favourite sweet that's made at home. Vahbiz says, "I love rava from the sweets that are made on Navroz. Some people also make strawberry rava...I like that too, it is delicious."
Navroz is also known as Parsi New Year which marks new beginnings. Sharing what the actress wants to do from this year onwards, she says, "This marks the beginning of the new year and I hope that along with me, it is a new and positive beginning for everyone else too. I definitely want to focus on my health and work on it. On the work front, I want to bag some really good and big shows because work is worship for me."
