(Parsi New year) today.

They have all taken to social media to celebrate the festival with their fans and wished their dear ones.

Smriti Irani, who rose to fame as Tulsi from the popular daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, posted a picture of the decorations done at her house on Instagram and wrote, "#SAAL MUBARAK."

Vahbiz Dorabjee, who is in a happy space of life, living her life according to her rules also shared her joy on the special occasion with her fans. She posted a picture of herself on Insta and wrote, "May the dawn of Navroz bring to you all and your Loved ones many cherished Blessings,good health,Happiness,laughter and contentment."

Delnaz Irani, who is also loved for her bubbly nature and acting skills shared a nice quote on the social media. She wrote, "To all my friends and family saal mubarak❤❤����have a super year #navrozemubarak."

Delnaz had earlier told Times Of India, "I am a Parsi and I am proud to be one. I think Parsi's are very fun loving and happy community. I relate to my community in every sense of the word. They are very forgiving, big hearted and charitable people who go out of way to help people in need. They know it's nice to be important but more important to be nice."

On the day of the New Year, Parsis are expected to take part in community events, apart from joining family feasts, which include specials made either in the family , or by Parsi eateries. Exchanging sweets like freni is also an essential part of community gatherings during Pateti.

Old-time Parsi favourites like chicken and mutton biryanis are regular fixtures for Pateti feast, and so are the mutton and chicken dhansak.
