Rahul Navlani, who was accused of abetting TV actress Vaishali Takkar's suicide, was arrested on Wednesday (October 19).
News agency ANI tweeted, "A man named Rahul who is the main accused has been arrested in connection with the suicide case of TV actor Vaishali Takkar: Police."
Indore Commissioner of Police, Harinarayan Chari Mishra, told ANI on Wednesday, "A reward of Rs 5000 and a lookout circular was issued against him at all the airports in view of the possibility of him running out of the country. Three teams of police were sent to different states to nab him. Today, he was arrested near Indore."
Vaishali Takkar was found dead at her residence in Indore where she lived with her family. The actress left a suicide note accusing Rahul Navlani and his wife Disha of mentally torturing her for 2.5 years.
According to friends, Vaishali was all set to tie the knot to a California based, Mitesh Gor, later this year. However, her brother revealed that it was Rahul who kept threatening her that he won't let her get married.
In fact, Vaishali had also got engaged to a Kenya-based dentist last year but the wedding was called off.
Vaishali has been part of popular TV shows like Sasural Simar Ka, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Super Sisters among several others.
