Vaishali Takkar's death by suicide remains the talk of town. The Indore police have taken her ex-BF Rahul Navlani and his wife Disha into custody. Vaishali's brother is very distressed and had said that Rahul used to threaten her that 'tera ghar nahin basne dunga'. ETimes got talking to Vaishali's close friend Nishant Singh Malkani and Nishant, who has had a chat with ETimes TV earlier, revealed that Vaishali was seeking medical help from a psychiatrist as she was depressed.
Said Nishant, "Rahul was not letting her move on. She was in a depression. She had consulted a psychiatrist. I now realise the magnitude of her problem, when I get to hear things such as Rahul wanting to show their intimate pictures her to-be husband. Intimacy happens if you are in a relationship but that does not mean that you threaten to share those moments with anybody else if you break up."
Nishant also revealed that he'd spoken to Vaishali just 4 days before she ended her life. "I kept teasing her that she has lost weight and she said that she'll recover those kilos and will be soon coming to Mumbai, before she gets married."
Why was Vaishali in a relationship with a married man, we asked? "Rahul was not married when they started seeing each other. There was some parental opposition that led to them not marrying each other. But post his marriage with a certain Disha, Rahul used to blackmail her emotionally and did not let her move on. She wanted to associate herself with someone who really cared for her and when she finally zeroed down on the guy she was supposed to marry in November, she was very happy.
Rahul had two kids but refused to let her go. But the irony was that even Rahul's wife Disha kept blaming her and not her husband."
Vaishali, in her suicide note, has blamed Rahul and Disha both. In her suicide note, Vaishali had accused Rahul of torturing her physically and mentally, in which Disha was also supporting him. Vaishali was 29. She died on October 15, 2002.
