Vipul Roy: I love Goa in the monsoon, it’s got the right vibe

Vipul Roy recently spent some quality time with his wife Melis and daughter Iris in Goa. While some tourists avoid Goa during the monsoon, Vipul deliberately chose this time of year.

“We were looking for a break. There wasn’t much happening on the work front, so I felt this could be the prefect time to take a vacation. And nothing better than Goa,” says the actor, who was last seen hosting the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2024.

Interestingly, it is the first time Vipul and Melis were experiencing Goa together. He shares, “I have been here many times, but this time, I explored Goa with Melis and Iris. So this trip is special and it was so much fun. Goa has been my all-time favourite place. I love spending time here in monsoon because it’s lush green everywhere. The weather is cool and it’s just the right kind of vibe. It’s beautiful.” He further adds, “We explored South Goa and went for small hikes too. I was happy to see my daughter enjoying the trip.”

Talking about the food during their holiday, he says, “Seafood and coconut gravies are my favourite and we had a lot of that. Also, I love anything to do with cashew and fresh coconut water — you don’t get to eat that anywhere else.”
