“I don’t even understand what alimony is,” she said before elaborating, “I am talking as a woman. I think it is not our right. It is earned by him, and it is his money. If someone wants to take care of you with love, then well and good. But it is permissible for women who are housewives.
“Women who have no work and have never gone to work, it is permissible for them. But you can work. I think you should get up, work, and earn for yourself. Because when the paths separate, you should earn for yourself,” she mentioned
“For the sake of our children—Tara, Khushi, and Rajveer—we pledge to be the best parents, friends, and whatever else is necessary to do what’s right for them. Though we are walking separate paths, there are no villains in this story, and no negativity attached to our decision. Before any conclusions are drawn, please know that we choose peace over drama and sanity above all else. We continue to respect and support each other, remaining friends as we always have. We kindly ask for your love, respect, and understanding as we move forward,” they shared.
