Before bringing home the title of ‘Bigg Boss 19’ winner, Gaurav Khanna lifted the ‘Celebrity Masterchef India' trophy this year. In the family episode of 'Celebrity Masterchef India' pre-finale, Gaurav was all alone as his parents couldn't visit from Kanpur, and his wife Akansha, was occupied with shoots. In an unexpected turn of events, Gaurav's closest friend, Hussain Kuwajerwala, whom he considers family, came and surprised him. Gaurav was very emotional after seeing him there.

"Hussain is like family to me," Gaurav said during the show. "He helped me when I had nothing," he added. Gaurav shared that he stayed together with Hussain at his home and even shared meals with him.
He further revealed, “When I came to Mumbai and did my first work on television, where we met, Hussain was playing my father. In a show, there was a leap. Our renowned star Hussain’s future kids’ story was being scripted. Someone thought I looked like his kid.”
He also shared that he learned a lot about acting by watching Hussain work. Their bond was clearly visible in their reunion.
