Shardul Pandit, who is currently playing the male lead in
Kuldeepak
, has a different take on fitness. While the entertainment industry has many actors who only give importance to six packs and eight packs abs, Shardul thinks otherwise.
He says, "I believe
women
are not turned on with the size of men's biceps but men are. If you go to the
Facebook or
Instagram page of any celebrity like
Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff or
John Abraham, they have more kids and men following them."
Shardul believes that it is talent which attracts women to actors. He points out at actors on TV, and says, "On TV, it's men like
Ram Kapoor and
Ronit Roy who women dream about and they are known for their charm, not for going shirtless."
He gives another example, "On the other hand, in films actors like
Shah Rukh Khan and
Ranbir Kapoor have more female fans. That's because they are known for their witty and graceful behaviour towards women."
Shardul says, adding, "Internationally also, if you look at actors like Sylvestor Stallone, The Rock or
Arnold Schwarzenegger have more men following them. On the other hand, actors like
George Clooney or
Ryan Gosling have maximum female following. If men look at a bikini body, they get excited but when women see a bare eight packs abs, they don't like it most times. I have always followed
King Khan
in this matter. Actually, I have planned my career looking at Shah Rukh Khan's career. Once, he told me that you should look at women with lots of love in your eyes. When you are in a room and a lady enters, you should stand up and give her place. These are the qualities which women look for."
Currently Shardul is playing the doting father and a loving husband in Kuldeepak and he feels the men's personality and the mental growth is more important for a woman.
