Actors are following the 'reduce, reuse and recycle' mantra to planting trees to save the environment

On World Environment Day today, telly stars talk about the importance of doing their bit to save the environment. From following the 'reduce, reuse and recycle' mantra to planting trees, they talk about how they are taking small steps to help save the environment. Here's a look....

2/10

Siddharth Nigam

The young actor says, "To save the environment, the one thing that I do is plant trees. I try to plant as many trees as possible. I have a lot of plants at home too and that helps us get fresh air to breathe. I think if we all start planting more trees, we can make our planet a much better place to live in."

3/10

Sourabh Raaj Jain

"I ensure minimal usage of plastic as that is definitely harmful for our environment. Littering is also a strict no no for me. I am adamant on the fact that I look for a trash can no matter how long I have to carry the trash. I personally feel these small changes in our habits can lead to bigger changes for our planet in the future. I also have this dream of owning a farm house one day, which caters to rain water harvesting as well as solar power usability. These are such essential natural resources in this day and age."

4/10

Shubhangi Atre

"I don't use plastic bags at all. I even make sure that the helpers in my house follow the same and not use plastic bags. I have a lot of plants in my house because gardening makes me happy. I believe in the theory of reduce, reuse and recycle."

5/10

Kunal Jaisingh

"We need to be sure about limiting the use of natural resources. Since childhood, my parents have taught me to not misuse water, electricity and now I'm also avoiding unnecessary drives to save petrol. Also we make sure to divide waste if they can be decomposed or not."

6/10

Nisha Rawal

"One major step towards saving the environment is that I always try and avoid use of plastic and also try to give priority to sustainable products in the market."

7/10

Adaa Khan

"Growing up and living in Mumbai, it was always drilled into me how important it is to protect the city's green cover. While I so far haven't had the opportunity to take part in a big environmental drive or anything, I do have a lot of plants at home and do my bit to contribute to saving the environment. Growing plants at home is not just a step towards maintaining the green cover, but trust me when I say, it adds a lot of positivity to the place."

8/10

Mohammad Nazim

"Recycle, Reuse and Reduce is my mantra in life. So, the things that I do which help me in saving the environment are I precisely use only the required amount of water and I have plants in my balcony for fresh air."

9/10

Manit Joura

"There are a few things that I strictly adhere to which help in saving the environment. I have stopped using plastic completely and instead use expensive air purifiers available in the market I prefer breathing fresh oxygen provided by indoor plants at home."

10/10

Juhi Singh Bajwa

"My first step is that I have reduced buying plastic and I hope that soon I stop using it totally. Plastic stays around in the environment for ages, threatening wildlife and spreading toxins. Another change I have brought in is that I have started using reusable shopping bags, so I do not have to waste paper or plastic bags."
