Yeh Rishta fame Mohena Kumari reveals her second-born daughter’s name, managing two kids and more

Mohena Kumari, known for her role in "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai," unveils the name of her second daughter. Balancing motherhood with two children, Mohena shared insights into her journey of managing multiple responsibilities alongside nurturing her growing family in her recent vlog. The former actress embraced motherhood for the second time last month.

2/10

Managing a toddler and a newborn

It is a little tough, especially because the first born child is so used to your full attention. So when the second child comes, the first one... problematic lagta hai, ke what is this? Where has my attention, which I was getting, gone? I have to make sure ke dono ka attention kum na ho. Dono ko equal attention mile. Of course, kisi ek ko main full attention nahi de sakti hoon, so it has to be divided. So that is the only difficulty one faces, but then every difficulty has solutions.

On how life changed after becoming a mother

Having given birth to two children makes you really, really respect other mothers and your own mother. So for me that change came when I had my children, I really had a much softer corner for my own mother, for Suyash ji's mother, for everybody, for every mother. I had a soft corner. For me that was a very big change. Second, I think I became much more patient as a person. So these two changes.

4/10

Indulging in hobbies post motherhood

It gets a little tough. Definitely, I have very little time. I am too involved with my children to do anything else. But for me, my passion also really matters. And in life, it's very simple. If you want this, then you have to work hard for all those things. You have to find time for everything. So, as much as you love something, you have to treat it the same way. You have to manage your time. If you manage your time properly, everything can happen.

5/10

Her day with her little ones

My day with my little ones is, It makes me very content. It makes me very happy. I think the happiest part of my day is... they both somehow take their nap time at the same time, which is in the afternoon. And when both the kids sleep on the same bed, all the madness is over. I'm just like looking at both of them and I'm like, oh my God, I have produced these two. I can't believe it. And it's such a wonderful feeling. Ayaansh is running around. He's a two-year-old toddler. And he keeps running here and there. And when I see him, I get a lot of contentment. I get a lot of peace. Gauritaa, that's my daughter's name. So Gauritaa is just lying down because she's very young, one month old. She just waits, when will mama pick me up? And when I pick her up, we both look at each other and we're just in love with each other. So, that's how my day goes.

6/10

Letting go of ‘me time’

There is literally no me time. You really have to fight for that From 24 hours, at least 2 hours you must take out for yourself. It is tough, it is very difficult for sure. But slowly, when the schedules are getting set, you know, make some space in the middle for yourself.

7/10

Dealing with irritation and mood swings

Irritation is going to come in. Sometimes you will get angry also. If you can do meditation, then there is nothing like it. It can really help you. But if you don't have time, then a lot of people have a lot of difficulties, a lot of problems. They say, you know, it's easy for you to say, but it's difficult for us to do. I'm sure that if you try, then you can take time out for meditation. But if you can't do it, then just as soon as you feel that bout of anger or that bout of irritation, just take two minutes, just close your eyes, just breathe. And think about, in that moment only, just think, is this going to solve the problem? It's not. You will always have that answer at the back of your head. It's not going to solve the problem if you try to explain yourself that there is no use of this emotion so try and avoid anger and irritation.

8/10

Listening and reading during both your pregnancies

My first pregnancy I read the Bhagavad Gita. I didn't complete it but I read the Bhagavad Gita. There was not a single day where I was not listening to bhajans. Every day I listened to bhajans. My second pregnancy, I was watching this show called Upnishad Ganga on YouTube, which is a very nice show.

On not bothering about weight loss at the moment

Honestly, it's not affecting me at all. One of my friends, was talking to me about losing weight. But I don't know, it's not affecting me at all. I'm very happy. I'm okay. I'm also okay because I know that I'll go ahead and lose weight. Because I believe in living a healthy life. I believe in living an active life. Toh mujhe itna stress nahi hai. So I'm not worried.

10/10

On balancing motherhood and career

When you have a child, when a mother has a child, it's very important that the mother gives time to the child. So, in this really fast paced world that we are living in, I have also been a part of that fast paced life. So I know how women can ignore their children and I think it's unfair. It's unfair to bring children into this world and then not give them their due. You need to give them the love, you need to give them the time, you need to give them the nourishment. You have to love your children. That is a very essential part of anybody's life. So I would like to tell all the career-oriented mothers that it's very important that we have good people in this world. People who care for this world and they will care for this world only when the mother gives them care and love.
