emerged as the captain by defeating Dhanushree, Sidhi Subbiah, Nirmala Chenappa, and Shubha Poonja in the captaincy task.
Bigg Boss finally revealed the secrets behind the seventeen green balls which were hidden by Sudeep during the season premiere. As Dhanushree distributed the green balls to each contestant, the housemates were asked to form a team according to the colour of the keys hidden inside the green balls.
Interestingly, since there were five inmates who had the red keys, Bigg Boss revealed the second secret and mentioned that the team with five contestants was eligible for the captaincy task.
Following Bigg Boss' command, Dhanushree, Nirmala, Nidhi, Shamanth, and Shubha participated in the captaincy task. There were asked to empty sand filed inside the punching bag by boxing. While Shamanth had a glorious victory, the fact Nidhi and Nirmala gave a tough competition in the task is worth a mention.
Shamanth not only became the first captain of the season but is also immune from this week's nominations.
On the other hand, during the nomination process, the captain also had a chance to save one contestant from the danger zone. Shamanth decided to save veteran actor Shankar Ashwath from nominations by mentioning that he is the senior-most candidate and his guidance inside the Bigg Boss house is very much needed.
