From being Akhil of Agnisakshi to playing a cameo in Aramane Gili; A look at Rajesh Druva's journey

Kannada actor Rajesh Dhruva shot to fame as Agnisakshi's Akhil. In an exclusive conversation with ETimestv, the actor spoke about his transition from Akhil of Agnisakshi and Aneesh of Aramane Gili.

2/7

The beginning

I was completely opposite to what I am now. But the artist, deep inside me, did not let me give up. People used to ping me on my social media account asking how I got selected. As time passed, things started falling into place. Now people tell me that no one else could have done justice to Akhil's character but for me.

3/7

Being Akhil

I never expected Akhil's character would turn out to be a lead character in the serial. Most of the time, the writers have prioritized Akhil as the lead in the absence of the hero and that's the best part.

4/7

Rapport with on-screen brother

I share a good bond with Vijaysuriya and it helps even on-screen. We complete the shot within a wink. In fact, the entire Agnisakshi team is now family to me. We share our emotions too.

5/7

Adieu to Akhil

After Agnishakshi concluded, I was looking for a change and that's when Aramane Gili came in my way. There are a lot of differences between both of my on-screen characters. From performance to attire and mannerisms, I had a complete makeover from being Agnisakshi's Akhil to Aramane Gili's Aneesh

6/7

Playing a cameo

I was quite surprised when I received a call from the makers of Aramane Gili. When I enquired, they told me that the character will be a part of the show for approximately 20 episodes.

7/7

Being Aneesh

I personally feel it is an honour for an artist to have a guest appearance in any show and I felt this was the right platform for me to showcase my performance. Many times, I wondered if the makers had me in mind while penning down the character of Aramane Gili.
