Today, everyone knows him as Yash. But not many know that Yash is the stage name of the Naveen Kumar Gowda. The Mysore-based actor, who lived in Paduvarahalli in Mysore during his teenage, was fondly called as Yash by his friends. And he preferred to go on-screen with the same name.

Having started his acting career as a theatre artist, Yash made his acting debut with Kannada television. Before taking the Kannada film industry by storm, Yash was a television actor who started his journey with the TV show ‘Nanda Gokula’. Yash started playing supporting roles in daily soaps and then moved on to films.

It was on the sets of Nanda Gokula, the actor met actress Radhika Pandit, who is his wife now. While Radhika was already a part of the show, Yash happened to join the show a little later. The duo shared a great rapport with each other and turned out to be best friends. The friendship blossomed into love and now, the love birds are married and also have two kids Ayra and Yatharv.

During his initial struggling days in the Kannada film industry, Yash has made his presence felt in shows like Silli Lalli, Mukta, Malebillu where he played cameo roles.

Just before making his silver screen debut, the actor played a prominent role in the show 'Preethi Illade Mele'. He in fact became a household name with this serial.
