From narrating their love story to doing Bigg Boss Kannada upon Spandana's insistence; Times when Vijay Raghavendra proudly spoke about his wife's support

Kannada actor and reality TV show judge, Vijay Raghavendra’s wife Spandana reportedly died due to a heart attack in Bangkok on Sunday night. Vijay Raghavendra and Spandana were indeed one of the most good-looking couples of Sandalwood. The actor was married to his wife for a long time now and was even supposed to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary on August 26. Throughout their marital life so far, the couple set an example to many and made them believe in true love. There are times when Vijay Raghavendra himself has spoken about his wife being the biggest pillar in his life. In the episode featuring Vijay Raghavendra in Weekend with Ramesh, the actor and his wife Spandana, got candid and opened up about their love story. Averring that their marriage is a love-cum-arranged one, Vijay mentioned that it was love at first sight after seeing Spandana at a coffee day. However, the former did not approach her. After three years, Vijay Raghavendra yet again saw Spandana at a coffee shop and decided to take a chance. He approached her and even proposed to her later.

The duo further got married in the year 2007 after seeking permission from the elders. The couple dished out major goals with their relationship. They also have a son named Shourya. They often mentioned saying that their son is their tomorrow. "Our son is our tomorrow" said Vijay Raghavendra in an episode of Weekend with Ramesh.

Vijay Raghavendra in one of the reality shows mentioned that he had prayed to Goddess Annaporneshwari that he always wanted a wife who looks similar to her. He further added that when he saw Spandana for the first time, he felt his wish indeed came true.

Vijay Raghavendra emerged as the winner of the very first season of Bigg Boss Kannada season 1. However, although the actor was skeptical about doing the reality show, he averred that it was his wife who insisted him to participate in the reality show since he was hardly shooting any movie back then. Vijay Raghvendra even mentioned that it was his wife's support that gave him major emotional strength to survive inside the Bigg Boss house.

There were many instances when Vijay Raghavendra opened up about his love for his wife. He would often talk about her to his inmates and wished to see her once inside the Bigg Boss house. However, Vijay Raghavendra expressing his deepest feeling to just rest his head on his wife's lap for some time is something that the audience still never fails to forget.

Nevertheless, the actor also averred that he is just the opposite to her. He mentioned that he just cannot surprise her with anything. But rather spill the beans.

Spandana was born into a Tulu family in Bengaluru. She even completed her education in Bengaluru city. She is the daughter of former retired police officer BK Shivaram. Her family hails from Dakshina Kannada district.
