There are many circumstances for an actor to bid adieu to their on-screen characters. Some walk out of the show mid-way due to personal reasons but there are a few who lose their project after the characters get axed from the show. Vinay Gowda announced his decision to quit the devotional TV show 'Yediyuru Sri Siddhalingeshwara' where he was seen in the role of 'Lord Shiva'. Speaking about the same with ETimes TV, the actor said, "It was a very tough decision for me to opt out. Saying goodbye to once-in-a-lifetime character Mahadeva is heartbreaking. But shooting in this crisis situation is very risky. You never know how you can get transmitted with the virus. Considering the safety of my family members in this crisis situation, I took up the decision to quit 'Yediyuru Sri Siddhalingeshwara'. It is with a heavy heart, I opted to call it a quit from my favorite on-screen character Lord Shiva."

Actress Rashmi Prabhakar, who was seen playing the lead role in 'Manasella Neene', quit the show in between. Rashmi had shared the information with her fans on social media and revealed that she opted out of the show due to personal reasons. She thanked everyone for lending their support to her and mentioned that a new actress will soon be replacing her in the upcoming episodes of the show.

Actor Charith bid adieu to Muddulakshmi during the initial days of the Covid-19 second wave. The actor quit the show mid-way as he prioritised the health concerns of his family members over shooting during the pandemic situation. Currently, the actor has decided to take a break for a year before signing any new projects.

Amrutha played the lead role of 'Mrudula' in Kasturinivasa. She replaced actress Varsha, who was initially essaying the role. However, Amrutha also quit the show mid-way as she was expecting her first baby with her husband Raghu Gowda.

Actress Ashwini, who was seen playing the role of 'Arthi' in the show 'Gattimela' also left the show midway. Thanking everyone for showering immense support towards her on-screen character 'Aarthi', Ashwini had informed her fans she has quit Gattimela recently. She mentioned that she will not be a part of the show anymore. However, the actress has refrained from revealing the actual reason for opting out of the show.

Shilpa Ravi quit the show Jeeva Hoovagide midway owing to health issues, according to sources. Shilpa was seen playing the lead role of Madhu in Jeeva Hoovagide. She has been associated with the show since its launch.

Kannada actress Swathi H V bid adieu to the daily soap Gattimela recently. The actress announced her exit from the show by sharing a video on her official Instagram handle. However, she has refrained from revealing the actual reason behind her quit from the daily soap even in the video. Neither the makers nor the channel airing the show has mentioned the actual reason behind Swathi's exit from Gattimela.

Kannada actress Shilpa Iyer has walked out of Jothe Jotheyalli. The actress was seen playing the role of 'Mansi' in the daily soap. Although rumours were rife about the actress quitting the show, Shilpa officially announced her exit from the show by sharing a video on Instagram. In the video, Shilpa said that she opted to quit the show due to personal commitments. Stating that she had often been questioned about her exit from Jothe Jotheyalli continuously for nearly two weeks, Shilpa mentioned that it was a tough decision for her to quit the successful daily soap. In the video, the actress also mentioned that she will no longer be seen as 'Mansi' in the show. She also thanked viewers and fans for supporting her throughout the journey of Jothe Jotheyalli.
