Having had a dream debut in the serial
Jothe Jotheyalli
, actress
Megha Shetty
, popularly known as
Anu Sirimane
on Kannada television, is now foraying into television production along with her sister
Skushmavathi
, with the serial
Kendasampige
.
Telling us more,
Megha
says, “My grandfather is from a theatre background and was very passionate about art. We have been doing projects from the last five years in
Tamil
, apart from two web series. Since we are from
Karnataka and love Kannada, we want to do projects here that will appeal to local audiences. So, we zeroed-in on Kendasampige, which is a family drama."
So, how does Megha balance acting (she has three movies in the pipeline apart from Jothe Jotheyalli) and being a producer? “The good thing is all three aspects bring a refreshing change in me. Acting in serials and films requires different skill sets. I get involved in discussing the stories and presentation by sharing my views, which I learnt after foraying into acting," shares Megha.
The actress is hoping that her debut movie —Tribble Riding — releases this year. “It was great to work with
Ganesh sir, and I think this movie is the perfect launch vehicle. I also have Dilpasand, which is a romantic subject, apart from the pan-India film with Kaveesh Shetty,” she wraps up.
