Tarak Ponnappa forays into Telugu television with Ravoyi Chandamma

Actor Tarak Ponnappa is the latest actor to join the growing list of Kannada actors who have made their way into the

Telugu TV

industry. He will be seen in the TV show

that also sees Kannada actors Vinay Gowda and Preethi Srinivas in pivotal roles.

Tarak, who was last seen on Kannada small screen in the serial

says, "I play the role of Veeraswamy who falls in love with a girl who doesn't like him because of his rugged nature, but Veeraswamy wants to get married to that girl at any cost. To escape from him, she flees a village and goes to Hyderabad. Veeraswamy who gets to know she is living in Hyderabad goes in search of her, and that adds a twist to the tale."

Tarak who learnt Telugu to get into the skin of the character shares, "I found it tough to get my Telugu diction right. But over the last 15 days, my language seems to have improved. I can actually converse in Telugu now." In Sandalwood, Tarak who was last seen in the movie

, is awaiting the release of his films Amruth Apartments and Gillke. "I will be seen in a different character in Amruth Apartments and Gillke. I am also getting a couple of small screen offers in Kannada which will be announced after the lockdown," he signs off.
