Benny John about his role in King Of Kotha: Those 5 seconds are priceless, being a part of this Pan Indian movie is a dream-come-true moment

Dulquer Salman's Pan-Indian movie, 'King Of Kotha' is receiving splendid reviews from all over. The success of the mass entertainer is nothing but a personal pride for actor Benny John, who is also a part of the movie.

Benny, who became a household name on Malayalam TV with his character, Chinnan, in 'Alliyambal', has played a supporting character in Dulquer's movie. Though his face appears on screen just for hardly 5 seconds, it is a huge celebration for the budding actor.


"I had got a good character in the movie which almost had 10 minutes on-screen. A song, the mass introduction of the villain, had some power-packed sequences. But, unfortunately, it all got chucked in the last cut. The team informed me that there was no chance of me being on the screen. But, surprisingly they called me for the dubbing and here I am with priceless 5 seconds in the Pan Indian movie. I am excited," he said to ETimes TV in an exclusive chat.

Talking about the shooting experience, Benny said that it was one of the toughest travels he had ever had.

"The shoot was at Karaikudi, Madurai. It was about 8 hours from my place, Trivandrum. I had traveled twice and it was a bit tiring. But, undeniably, it was all worth it," he added.

Ask him about the shooting experience in the mass movie of Abhilash Joshiy, Benny would say it is nothing but pure bliss.

"Abhilash just knows what he wants. Though the shot is good, he needs 6 to 7 takes to reach perfection. The huge set of the Pan-Indian movie was literally a vision. Proud, proud, and proud to be a small part of this exceptional work," he shared.

After 'Alliyambal', Benny was seen in the sitcom 'Su Su'. On the movie front, he gained attention with his character in the movie 'Kappa'. Currently, he is busy with the Rohit VS directorial 'Tikki Takka' starring Asif Ali.
