Bigg Boss Malayalam 7 preview: Akbar Khan sparks outrage by calling Renu Sudhi a 'Septic Tank'
Abhilash, popularly known as Abhisree, has made his entry to Bigg Boss Malayalam 7 as one of the 19 contestants. But who is this multi-talented performer? Here's everything you need to know about this inspiring young man.
Hailing from Pathanamthitta, Abhilash was born with a club foot—a condition believed to have been caused when his mother contracted smallpox during pregnancy. Despite this physical challenge, he never let his condition define or limit him. Abhilash pursued his education and completed a diploma in polytechnic, all while nurturing a deep passion for dance.
Abhilash’s love for dance led him to the reality show Step Up, but it was his appearance on D2 - D4 Dance that truly brought him into the limelight. Though he didn’t make it into the final competition, his electrifying audition performance earned praise from judges Neerav Bavlecha, Priya Mani, and Prasanna. His story and spirit left a lasting impression.
Life wasn’t easy for Abhilash. To support his family, he took on several odd jobs—from working at a chicken stall to serving as a sales executive. Despite these hardships, his passion for dance and performing never faded.
Abhilash’s life changed when he met Sree, the love of his life. Though their relationship faced resistance due to his financial and living situation, the couple stood firm. They got married seven years ago and have since become inseparable partners in both life and creativity.
After their marriage, Abhilash began teaching dance to Sree, and the couple started sharing their dance videos on TikTok. Their chemistry and talent quickly went viral. Today, they're among the most loved Instagram couples, known not just for their dance clips but also for their emotional, relatable short videos.
Their social media success opened doors to the entertainment world. Abhilash has acted in TV shows like Mizhirandilum and Kathodu Kathoram, and even played a notable role in Biju Menon’s film Thundu. Sree, too, made her mark in serials like Ammakkilikkoodu and Syamambaram.
In addition to his talents in acting and dance, Abhilash is also a skilled cricketer. A fast bowler, he had the honor of representing the state in the prestigious Indo-Nepal tournament held in 2009.
Abhilash has officially entered the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 house, marking an inspiring moment on the show. Speaking to host Mohanlal during his grand entry, Abhilash shared, "I was rejected at many stages because of my disability. But today, with that very same disability, I stand here on the biggest reality show in the country."
The teaser shows all housemates visibly shocked by Akbar’s words. Renu, clearly hurt, is later seen confiding in fellow contestant Noora. In an emotional moment, she says, “I haven't heard such a nickname anywhere. I was shattered when I heard it. I am not crying for drama. Isn’t the whole world watching?”
Following the release of the teaser, social media exploded with criticism against Akbar. Comments such as “Never expected this from Akbar” and “Akbar, here ends my love for you” flooded online platforms, expressing disappointment and anger over the incident.
As always, Bigg Boss proves to be unpredictable, with emotions running high and unexpected twists emerging even in the simplest of tasks. All eyes are now on how Akbar and the housemates respond in the upcoming episode.
