A case has been registered on Monday (March 16) against
Bigg Boss Malayalam's
Rajith Kumar
and his fans at Nedumbassery police station for 'Unlawful assembly' during Corona virus high-alert. Ernakulam District collector S Suhas has shared the information on his official social media handle against the mass gathering that took place at Cochin Internation Airport last night (15 March).
On Sunday, a group of fans of
Bigg Boss Malayalam 2
evicted contestant Rajith Kumar gathered in front of Cochin International Airport to receive him. The gathering received the contestant with garlands and bouquets. Rajith was also seen addressing the crowd and thanking them for the support. Along with the fans, former contestants
Shiyas Kareem and
Pareekutti
were spotted in the videos surfaced online.
Quoting the act as 'shameful', the district collector has declared that a case has been registered against Rajith Kumar and his fans for disobeying orders.

Four named accused, including Rajith and 75 identifiable accused are charged under sections 143, 147, 149, 188 and 283 IPC. The sections broadly are Unlawful Assembly, Rioting, Disobeying orders of a public servant and causing obstruction to the public way and thereby causing danger for the general public. In light of Corona spread, there is also a High Court ruling that there should be no procession around 500 metres from the airport.
