From being the first commoner contestant to opening up about abusive marriage; Gopika Gopi's Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 journey

Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 contestant Gopika got evicted from the show recently. Here is a look at her eventful journey in the show.

Gopika Gopika, an employee of a private courier service company entered the show as the first commoner contestant. She managed to become the chosen one after a public audition done by a telecom company, the title sponsor of the show. She entered the show saying that she is sure to win the title of the show.

After the first task in the season, host Mohanlal felicitated Gopika with a special title, 'The crooked mind'. She was much praised for her cunning ideas during the tasks.

The first-ever birthday celebration of the BB house was of Gopika Gopi. From special video wish from family to cake cutting with inmates, Gopika had a memorable celebration inside the house.

Gopika revealed about being in an abusive marriage. She shared that she had tried to end her life too. "A day after marriage, I could see the changes in the one I loved. He used to physically attack me whenever I talk to someone, or anyone comes to meet me. Two months after the marriage I got pregnant and the abuse continued. One day when my mom was home, he attacked me so badly that she warned him. This continued and I decided to commit suicide. I took the poison bottle in my hand and when I was about to consume it, my baby kicked me for the first time. It felt like my Ambu was asking me not to do it. That moment I decided I will not end my life and live for my baby," she said.

Gopika ended up in a huge verbal spat with Cerena. She lashed out at Cerena for using the word 'inferiority complex' on her. However, it was clear that it was a misunderstanding, and host Mohanlal solved it in one of the weekend episodes.

Gopika ended up in a huge argument with Junaiz and Sagar on the day of her eviction. When Junaiz and Sagar complained that she is taking all credit for the good work of the kitchen team. On the other hand, Gopika was upset that Sagar had accused her of playing tricks in their friendship.
