​Norah Muskaan, the fake name​

Norah is one of the popular influencers in Kerala. However, in the task, Norah opened up that it was a fake name she chose to keep it secret from her parents.


"My real name is Shaibal Sadath. When I started my social media account, I used the name Ponnus, my nickname. But, when my friend teased me, I changed the name to Norah. I couldn't use my real name because it would become a huge issue if my parents came to know. They are from an orthodox mindset," she said.

​Getting divorced at a young age​

Norah opened up that she got divorced in her early 20s

"I got married when I was 21. But, it didn't work out between us. So, I pushed for a divorce. However, it was so hard for my parents to accept that their daughter was getting divorced. Even my then-husband tried his best to delay the proceedings," she said.

​'Why a divorce is always negative for a girl?'​


"Why are divorces negative always? Two people cannot get along and they decide to end their marriage. But, every time it falls as a negative to the girl. Ever since the divorce, I decided that I would become independent. I used the social media platforms and became an influencer. With that money I bought a house," she said.

​'Father doesn't value my money and the house since it is from social media'​



"My father hasn't visited my house yet. He doesn't like me earning from social media. Over these three years, we have hardly met also. Anyway, I don't blame them, I understand that they come from a different school of thought. But, that doesn't stop me," she shared.
