Ranjini Haridas pens a heart-touching note on Mother's Day, calls her mom ‘the wind beneath her wings’
The much-loved host of Malayalam TV, Ranjini Haridas, has penned a heart-touching note on Mother's Day. Emphasising how her mother brought her up as a single parent, she poured all her love into words.
"I’ve spoken so much about my mom over the years that people probably know her almost as much as they know me. But not many know my dad. Truth is… I barely got the chance to know him myself. He passed away when I was just 7 years old," she started off the note.
Along with the note, she shared a picture of herself holding a picture of her late father, along with her mother, Sujatha.
"Today, while searching for a picture of Amma and me, I came across this one… and somehow, this became the picture I needed to post. Maybe because it reminds me of everything she had to become after he was gone. Not just a mother. But both parents. The protector. The provider. The strength. The softness. The constant. Losing him so early meant my mother had to go far beyond the role life had originally written for her. And she did. Every single day. Without ever complaining. Without ever breaking. Without ever asking for anything in return," she added.
Ranjini also shared that her mother is her biggest fan as well as her harshest critic.
"The woman I am today is only because of the woman she chose to be. She was, is, and always will be the wind beneath my wings. My biggest fan. My harshest critic. My mom. My everything. #HappyMothersDay @haridassujatha ..I am coz you were!!!," she wrote.
Ranjini Haridas is one of the popular anchors on Malayalam TV. She was also one of the popular contestants in the first season of Bigg Boss Malayalam. Currently, she is busy with her online interview series, ‘RH Talkies’.
