' has declared that he is quitting the show. In a social media post, the actor has announced that he will not be continuing the character. However, he hasn't revealed the reason behind the decision.
"Namaste. Thank you all for the love and support you had given for Chakkappazham's Uthaman. I will not be continuing as Uthaman. Your support is one of the biggest strengths in my acting career. I expect the same support and prayers in all my upcoming movies and programs, too," reads the translation of his post.
Sreekumar's post is full of fan comments requesting him not to quit the show.

Sreekumar became a household name with his character Lolithan in the show '
Marimayam
'. He has also done some noted roles in movies, too. The actor was much loved for his hilarious acts in 'Chakkappazham'.

Arjun Somashekar
, who played Shivan in 'Chakkapapzham', also left the show midway earlier.
'Chakkappazham' is one of the popular sitcoms on Malayalam TV. The show has recently won two awards in the Kerala State TV awards, too.
