Star Singer: KS Chithra goes 'Oh My God' over Shivapriya's performance in the improvisation round

Contestant Shivapriya has set the whole Star Singer stage on fire with her stunning performance. From legendary singer KS Chithra to the audience, everyone couldn't stop tapping their feet to her impressive rendition in the recent episode.




In the Move It With Improvisation Round, Shivapriya surprised everyone with her song selection itself. The contestant performed the 1962 song from the classic movie Veluthambi Dalawa, 'Innu Nalla Laakka.' From start to finish, she left everyone floored by her energy. During the performance, judge Chithra was seen exclaiming “Oh my God” in response to some of Shivapriya’s creative improvisations, clearly impressed by her talent. Undoubtedly, the singer has nailed it with her perfection. Soon after the performance, the three judges, KS Chithra, Sithara Krishnakumar, and Vidhu Prathap, rushed to the stage to hug the contestant.




"From starting till the end, wow, what a performance. It felt like the new avatar of Shivapriya. I was surprised by all the improvisations done in the song. The most impressive performance in this round." KS Chithra appreciated the contestant.




The singer also congratulated mentor Swetha Ashok, who has helped Shivapriya with the improvisations in the song. Judge Sithara shared that this song is the best example of how one can reverb a song. Along with the golden star, Shivapriya has also won the performer of the day title.






In the same round, Vidhuraj also grabbed a golden star with his stunning performance.

In the recent episode, the cast and crew of the new movie 'Madhuvidhu' were seen as guests on the show. Musician Hesham Abdul Wahad was seen as much impressed by the performances of the contestants. He also offered a playback opportunity for contestant Vidhuraj. Star Singer currently features the top 10 contestants of the season. The winner of the show will take home the grand prize of Rs 50 lakhs.
