Actor Kapil Honrao mourns the demise of 46-year-old Marathi TV and film director Swapnil Mayekar, says, "Your film will release tomorrow; gone too soon"
Marathi television and film director Swapnil Mayekar passed away today ( May 4) due to health-related issues. The director was 46 years old. Unfortunately, Swapnil's Marathi film as a director, Marathi Paul Padhte Pudhe is about to release tomorrow (5th May).
The entire Marathi industry is mourning the sudden demise of the director and TV actor Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta, Kapil Honrao also mourned his sudden demise.
Kapil is also a part of Swapnil's upcoming Marathi film. He shared a picture of him with the late director Swapnil and wrote an emotional post. He wrote, "RIP, You had promised that you will do more projects with me. You have gone suddenly before even the release of our film."
Kapil also shared another picture with the film lead actor Chirag Patil, the late director, and him and wrote, "Your film is going to release tomorrow...Gone too soon"
For the unversed, Swapnil passed away at his residence in Ghatlagaon, Chembur, Mumbai. He was having health issues for the past few months. The late director was reportedly suffering from diarrhea (gastro) and was admitted to a local hospital in Chembur where he was in critical condition. He breathed his last on Thursday morning.
On the work front, Swapnil was a TV and film director. He worked as a director for Doordarshan's Marathi TV show 'Ha Khel Sanchithacha'. He also directed the Bhojpuri movie 'Hum Hai Dharmayoddha' and worked as an assistant director for many Marathi movies. His first as an independent director will be released tomorrow.
