Dholkichya Talavar judge Ashish Patil on thoughts about LGBTQ community, disappointment with voting system of reality shows and more

Marathi show Dholkichya Talavar was recently launched and choreographer Ashish Patil was roped in the show as a judge. In a podcast, Ashish shared why he has never won any reality show, the sad reality behind them, and the disappointing voting system. Ashish also spoke his thoughts on LGBTQ community. Take a look.

Ashish Patil on LGBTQ community

Ashish wants people to spread positivity for the LGBTQ community. He said, "I do support the community and all kinds of communities. Earlier, people would criticize me for my personality, but now they text me on social media and praise my dancing skills. I think that's the achievement of my life."

Never won any reality show

Ashish said in the podcast that he has never won any reality show despite reaching the finale. He said, "I have done almost 16 reality shows on Hindi TV. I reached the finale but never won it. There were many judges who gave me standing ovations, but I don't know why I never won any show."

4/7

I want to see the machine where makers of the show count votes

Ashish further said in the podcast that he wants to see the voting machine. He said, "I have reached the finale in all my shows but never won it. I want to see the machine where the makers count the votes of the audience. As a contestant, it is my responsibility to entertain the viewers with my dancing skills and it is my right to know the votes as well. Nowadays, voting criteria decides who is famous in public. If you want a person to win a reality show, he or she never wins the show. It's reality. It happens. It is still a question of the vote counts. I have asked many times after the show how many votes I got, and they have told me they do not disclose it. I later decided that it does not matter whether I win the show or not; if people are recognizing me and my work, then I am the winner."

5/7

No offense to anyone, but contestants make the show hit, not the judges.

When asked about judges' input in reality shows, Ashish said, "I think contestants make the show a hit with their efforts and performances, not the judges. No offense to any judges, but the contestants of the show make the show popular with their dancing skills."

6/7

Where are the people who have won reality shows?

Ashish spoke about the winners of the dance reality shows and questioned their appearance after the show. He said, "I have observed one thing: people who have won reality shows have later disappeared. Where are they now? The ones who did not win the show, like choreographer dancers Dharmesh, Raghav, Vartika Jha, and singer Arjit Singh, are doing better in their fields than the winners."

7/7

I want to die on stage while performing.

Ashish spoke about his wish on the podcast and said that he just has one wish and he wants God to fulfill it. He said, "I have always loved my art and skills. I just have one wish: I want to die on stage while performing. I want to breathe last while worshipping my art."
