Indian Idol Marathi Grand Finale: Sagar Mhatre lifts the trophy of the debut season

Sagar was one of the most talked-about contestants on the show who has a classical background. Sagar is an engineer by profession and loves to modify bikes which are his passion. Along with this, Sagar Mhatre has a unique voice. The judges of the show Ajay-Atul have often praised Sagar for his perfect command over melody and range. They also opined that Sagar is perfect as a playback singer.
On the Grand Finale, Sagar has said that he feels privileged to be on the show and he never imagined that he would be able to participate in the show. Sagar also said that nobody knew his family and house in his area in Panvel but when he was featured in Indian Idol Marathi everyone started knowing his parents and people often visit his house.
For the unversed, Indian Idol Marathi's Shweta Dandekar became second runner-up and won the cash prize of 2 lakhs, Jagdish Chavan became the first runner-up and winner Sagar won a gift voucher from a renowned jewelry brand and 5 lakhs Rs cheque. Sagar also took the golden trophy home.
Indian Idol Grand Finale episodes have been airing from 11th and 12th (Monday and Tuesday). Today, Wednesday, 13th, Indian Idol Marathi will air its final episode and the one contestant among the top 5 finalists will lift the trophy. A vegetable seller by profession Pratik Solse has been inspiring everyone since the beginning of the show. Pratik is grabbing eyeballs with his voice and his motivational life story. He is a vegetable seller by profession but a music lover by passion. The Nashik boy enthralls the audience with his pitch-perfect voice. He is also a die-hard fan of Aanand Shinde and considers him as his god.
Schoolgirl Shweta from Nalasopara enthralled everyone with her powerful voice. Shweta appeared at the audition in her school uniform and Ajay-Atul guessed that she might have a soft voice. Shweta sang the song Darling originally sung by Usha Uthup and thrilled everyone.She has been successfully juggling her studies and the reality show. Shweta appeared for the exams in her school and also made her way to the finale of Indian Idol Marathi.
Jagdish, who belongs to a tribal community, impressed everyone with his performance. Jagdish is one of the popular contestants of the show and won hearts with his devotional songs and pop music. Jagdish's soft and soulful voice earned praises from the judges Ajay-Atul. They opined that Jagadish has become an inspiration to many.
Bhagyashree, a school kid, is mesmerizing everyone since the launch of the show. Bhagyashree, who has a soft and unique voice quality, was the first contestant to reach the finale. Her elegant presence on the stage and soothing tone make her the perfect contestant for the finale.
