Popular Marathi actress Ketaki Chitale, who has done hit shows like Tuzha Mazha Breakup and Ambat Goad, is battling epilepsy since her childhood. Ketaki often spreads awareness about the neurological disorder through her social media posts.
Ketaki recently revealed a few details about the Keto diet after actress Mishty Mukherjee's demise. Mishti's family members alleged she was on Keto diet.
Ketaki Chitale shared the pictures of Mishti Mukherjee and wrote on Instagram, "Mishi Mukherjee was an actor who died due to kidney failure because of the Keto diet. A Keto diet is dangerous. Always have been. In 1994, it was advertised extensively on US television to sell a new fad diet as a cure for epilepsy. Now it has come to India as a weight loss diet. I have been advocating against it for years now. How many more deaths do we need till the neurologists and gyms stop encouraging KETO?"
Mishti's death has sparked the discussion on the excessive diets and supplementary food which celebs and famous personalities use to stay in shape.
Actress Mishti Mukherjee, who worked in numerous movies breathed her last on Friday night (October 2) in a hospital in Bengaluru. According to reports, the actress breathed her last due to kidney failure. The 27-year-old entertainer was also a part of a few Telugu, Hindi and Bengali films. She had made her introduction in Bollywood with the film 'Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi in 2012.'
