I felt that instant connect between us: Sameer

Talking about Sonali Patil aka Vaiju and their first interaction, Sameer said, "Actually, We have crossed so many barricades and got this opportunity. I have also done a look lest with Sonali. I met Sonali for the first time at the auditions. I would love to tell you honestly that we didn’t know each other yet I felt that instant connect. The scene also worked well and later I got to know that Sonali is going to work with me. She already had that onscreen character ‘Vaiju’ in herself. Apart from this, the director trusted me and it’s a huge responsibility for me now." (PC -Instagram)

I felt nice when I knew Sameer was paired with me: Sonali

"When I went for the audition of the show, I saw two male actors and Sameer Khandekar was one of them. I felt he should be selected since he is a good actor. When I got to know that Sameer was paired with me, I felt really nice. There is strong chemistry between us that you will see in Vaiju Number 1. Apart from this, he is a nice actor and I learn a lot from him," says Sonal Patil talking about co-star Sameer. (PC -Instagram)

Sameer helped me get highlighted: Sonali

Talking about working with Sameer, Sonali Patil said, "Sometimes, Sameer sacrifices his dialogues for me and asks me to deliver the dialogue. He also helps me get highlighted on the camera. He tries to highlight my punch line too. He never made me felt that he was a star. He gave me the credit of scenes which have really come out well. He does everything needed for perfection on-screen." (PC - Instagram)

Showing off is not the trait of a good actor: Sameer

Sameer feels working as a team helps. Elaborating on it, he said, "Learning is a never-ending process. I learn a lot from Sonali too (laughs). Seriously, I feel showing off your capabilities and just highlighting yourself in front of the camera is not the trait of a good actor. We should work as a team so that we can exchange our thoughts and views with each other." (PC - Instagram)

As actors give and take is important: Sameer

"You know, there was a time in school when one of our classmates used to hide his copies from us. We are not in school anymore. So if I know anything related to a scene then it's not fair if I don't share it with Sonali. I do share my thoughts, ideas, and knowledge with her. As actors give and take is important."
