Ayudha Ezhuthu is set in a rural backdrop. Mounica (Kaaliammal) is a dominating woman in the village and doesn’t trust outsiders. She doesn’t believe in the education system and wants to make sure that panchayat and officers are under her control. She is of the strong belief that she knows more about what’s good for the village.

On the other side, Indira, a well-educated courageous girl makes her entry into the village as a sub-collector. Being an outsider and new to the village, she isn’t aware of the local power equations. Indira tries her best to set things right in the village. Due to this, Indira and Kaaliammal end up at loggerheads.
In between, Indra falls in love with Shakthivel, without the knowledge that he is the son of Kaaliammal. Would Shakthivel reveal the truth to Indira that he is Kaaliammal’s son, would the love between Indra and Shakthivel sustain and how would Kaaliammal with Indira forms the major crux of the story.
Ayudha Ezhuthu airs on weekdays at the evening slot.
