Bigg Boss Tamil 4: Balaji Murugadoss - Aari Arjuna to Sanam Shetty - Suresh Chakravarthy, a look at the major rivalries of the season

The Bigg Boss Tamil 4 is nearing its closure in the coming days. There have been many rivalries among the housemates. Here’s a look at the major rivalries of the season.

Balaji Murugadoss and Aari Arjuna are among the most outspoken contestants of the season. Aari pinpoints Balaji’s mistakes frequently. Hence, they have fights almost every day or on alternate days. On multiple occasions, Balaji who is younger in age has spoken Aari in a disrespectful manner. During their recent fights in the jail, Aari addressed Balaji with words like ‘Da’ and ‘Somberi’ (lazy guy). On the other hand, Balaji called Aari a ‘fool’ and ‘idiot’. There seems to be no end for their rivalry.

In the initial stages of the show, newsreader-turned-contestant Anitha Sampath made a funny news presentation of Suresh Chakravarthy’s activities in the house. This didn’t go well with Suresh. On another occasion, Anitha picked the word ‘Sumangali’ uttered by Suresh on the Ayudha Pooja and blew it out of proportions to explain her point of view. This led to a major misunderstanding between them and they became rivals.

Suresh and Sanam had frequent disagreements on various things. During the demons and the royal family task, Suresh hit Sanam with a sceptre unknowingly. Though Suresh apologised for the same, Sanam scolded him with disrespectful words like ‘Da’. The bitterness between the duo continued until Suresh’s exit from the house.

Aari Arjuna had issues with Samyuktha Karthik missing out to find faults of her close people like Balaji and others. In turn, Aari was often questioned regarding his workout activities by Samyuktha during her captaincy. Besides this, Aari wasn’t comfortable with the usage of words like ‘Valarapu’ (upbringing of parents) by Samyuktha. This led to frequent fights between them.

Balaji Murugadoss and Suresh Chakravarthy had a cordial relationship in the early days of the show. In fact, Balaji addressed Suresh as Thatha (grandfather). During a task, Suresh also said that he remembers his son, while he sees Balaji. There were cracks in their relation, when Balaji began to hurt Suresh in a disrespectful manner after the latter’s fight with Sanam Shetty.

Anitha Sampath and Aari Arjuna pinpointed mistakes of each other and the other housemates frequently. Anitha would get hurt when Aari pointed her mistakes and turned into fights. During a task, Aari tried to explain his points of view by quoting Anitha’s own words. Anitha warned Aari to not speak about her hubby Prabhagaran and her family members. She vented her anger by biting her lips and raising her fingers against Aari. From then, there were no signs of return of normalcy in their relationship.

Balaji Murugadoss and Sanam Shetty had been at loggerheads quite often. During a conversation, Balaji, the winner of Mr. India title ridiculed the beauty pageant title of Miss South India won by Sanam Shetty. He termed it as Dubakur (fake / not authentic). This didn’t go well with her. On another occasion, Balaji scolded Sanam with the word ‘Dardhalai’ and insulted her for kicking him on his back. She showed her back and asked him to kick her and end the issue. The fights like this turned their already troublesome relationship worse.

Balaji had a rugged relationship with Archana Chandhoke. Balaji and Archana had a huge fight over the household chores, when the latter was the captain. Post the fight, Archana said that she viewed Balaji as her son. Balaji wanted to avoid getting into any emotional bonding until the end of the show and alleged that Archana is using affection as her strategy. Balaji also pointed out many mistakes about Archana’s gang. This widened the gap between the duo.

Aari Arjuna often asked Ramya Pandian to observe the mistakes of her close people and highlight that also, when necessary. He alleged her of playing a safe game with her close people. On many occasions, Ramya let Aari’s opponents vent out their anger against Aari and then stop Aari from expressing his views. Host Kamal Haasan and Aari had asked Ramya to refrain from taking sides in an unjustifiable manner. This has led to lack of closeness between them.

On many occasions, Aari Arjuna alleged that Rio Raj along with Archana and others indulged in groupism. He also said that Rio doesn’t find the mistakes of people close to him and doesn’t nominate his gang members for eviction. Due to this, Aari and Rio had frequent fights. Their rivalry still continues in the house.
