Thamarai said she had to sacrifice education and start working as a stage performer to support her family with parents and three other siblings. She added that she had to face many insults, verbal abuse and stand many odds to financially support her family.

Thamarai also shared how her marriage dissolved after having a son (

Sivaraman

) due to alleged harassment from husband and in-laws. She then spoke about her second husband

who proposed to her but didn't take care of the family post marriage. She thanked her mother-in-law for standing by her in running the family.
