From husband's alcoholism to his absconding after their Goa trip: Bigg Boss Tamil 3 fame Vanitha Vijaykumar opens up on her broken marriage with Peter Paul

Bigg Boss Tamil 3 fame Vanitha Vijaykumar has finally opened up on the reasons behind her broken marriage with Peter Paul in a recent tearful video on social media. They got married in June this year.

In the video, Vanitha stated that she didn't cross check his marital status and 'blindly believed' that he was single as she visited his office and residence before. She further claimed that she wasn’t aware of the fact that he hadn't divorced his first wife officially by the time he was marrying her.

Vanitha said that she liked the idea of marriage and was thinking of finding a supportive male companion to take care of me and my daughters. And this is why she got married to Peter.

Vanitha revealed that Peter suffered a cardiac arrest and was hospitalized a couple of times due to his alcoholism. She added that his smoking habit also added to his ill health and she had to spend around Rs 15 lakhs to help him recover.

She alleged that Peter used to leave home fully drunk and was asking people for money for drinking. Some of the people from the cinema industry called her up and asked what was going on in their life and she asked Peter to stop his way of living.

She said that with his consent she even kept a tracker in his phone, but still things did not improve. She alleged that he lived only on alcohol for a week and did not even take food. One day he left home at 4 am and after several hours, his assistant only brought him home. Thinking that he could not handle the stress of trolls and allegations on social media, they planned a trip to Goa.

“He fully knows how well I took care of him, but it seems he loves liquor more than me," said Vanitha in the tearful video.

In the video, Vanitha divulged that they went to Goa to unwind but Peter got to know about his brother's ill health on the last day of their trip and that's when she found out that he (Peter) was an alcoholic. Adding that she fought with him over the same and they immediately drove back to Chennai.

Vanitha said that after returning, he got a call saying that his brother passed away, which made him upset and he wanted to go home. She said that she gave him money for the expenses and now he has been away for several days. She alleged that he has neither called her, nor attended her calls. (Photo - Instagram)

Vanitha said he is with his family now and she didn't have a problem even if he goes back to his wife and children. Vanitha added that it seems what his previous wife Elizabeth Helen had said was true about him. Adding that she can feel the pain of Helen but opined that she should have come to sign the medical papers for surgery if she claims to be his legal wife.

Vanitha said she is heartbroken and will take some time to heal but she will not take any drastic decision despite any personal crisis in life. She added that is determined to move on, live and fight at least for the sake of her children. (Photo - Youtube)
