TV actor Bharat Kalyan’s wife Priyadharshini passes away at 43; diet changes suspected

Bharathi Kannamma and Kana Kaanum Kaalangal fame Bharat Kalyan's wife Priyadarshini, aged 43, has reportedly passed away today (November 1) morning.

As per latest reports, she breathed her last at a Chennai hospital after slipping into coma a few days ago. A diet-induced diabetes due to a sudden shift to paleo diet is touted to be the key reason behind her critical condition. She had been undergoing treatment at the hospital for a few months now and her condition reportedly worsened and she slipped into coma for a while before succumbing to her illness today morning. However, an official confirmation is awaited at the moment.

Priyadarshini's last rites are expected to take place on Wednesday, according to close sources. Bharat Kalyan and Priyadarshini have a son and a daughter. The unexpected demise of Priyadarshini has sent shock waves in the entertainment industry.

Bharath Kalyan is the son of Kannada actor Kalyan Kumar, who was popular in the 1960s and 70s. Bharat started his career as a child artist in Kannada films and also appeared in some popular Tamil films, including Srinagaram, Sullan and Vaseegara. Bharat's TV shows Apoorva Raangal, Vansham, and Jameela, are also popular.
