’s season two kickstarted last weekend and the first episode, hosted by
Pradeep Machiraju, saw the team of ‘Muddha Mandaram’ celebrating completion of 1000 episodes on the show.
Now, the teams of ‘Mutyala Muggu’ and ‘Kalyana Vaibhogam’ will compete against each other on the show. The show that kickstarted on Jan 6 is being aired at 8 PM, as will this upcoming episode this Saturday. A promo for the upcoming episode was posted by the social media page of the channel the show airs on with the caption, “#MutylaMuggu Vs #KalyanaVaibhogam.. Which team do you think is going to win #SuperSerialChampionship this week? Tune in this Saturday at 8 pm.” (sic)
In the promo, the teams can be seen rejoicing with Pradeep Machiraju and later one of the actresses says, “Kabaddi ee maku ekhuva.” (We like kabaddi more) The actors are later blindfolded and made to play the game, leaving them humorously frustrated. One actress even gets tackled down while she’s blindfolded, much to the amusement of the audience. The promo has received 5.9k views since it was posted 3 hours ago.
The first season that aired on a leading Telugu channel was a hit, and the second season seems to be going down the same route. In the previous season, teams from the serials 'Muddha Mandaram', 'Varudhini Parinayam', 'Amma Naa Kodala', 'Muga Manasulu', 'Mutyala Muggu', 'Iddaru Ammailu', 'Rama Seetha', 'Geethanjali', 'Mangamma Gari Manavaralu' and 'America Ammayi' had participated in the show.
Pradeep Machiraju, who replaced
Sreemukhi and
Anchor Ravi as the host from last season, was recently embroiled in controversy after being caught drinking and driving on New Year’s. But the TV star has since not just put out a video on social media, requesting everyone to not believe rumours or follow his path. Pradeep Machiraju even attended counselling for the same today.
