Born as Guduru Venkata Satya Krishna Reddy, Samrat was brought up in Hyderabad. He did his schooling at Ivy League Academy and St Patrick High School, Secunderabad. He is unarguably one of those affable chaps, who grew up in hostels as he was admitted to one at a very early age.

A doting brother and a good model..
He is the younger brother of Sahitya Reddy and well-known model, fashion designer and fitness expert Shilpa Reddy. He modeled for several ad photoshoots of his elder sister's assignments and creations before taking a full-time plunge into acting.
