23 Asiatic lions have died in Gujarat’s Gir forest in the last month. The Gujarat government has asked for a detailed report on the cause of death of all the lions. Out of these, 11 died due to a lethal virus. A group of 33 lions who are not infected have been separated and are under strict observation. Over 500 people scouting area of over 1500 sq km tracking, monitoring and supervising each and every lion.
