Furore after video shows men damaging pillars of ancient Hampi monument

A video on social media showing three men purportedly damaging pillars at Hampi UNESCO World Heritage Site has created a furore. Locals staged protest soon after the video, in which the miscreants can be seen pushing a pillar, began circulating on social media and demanded adequate protection for the monument. Following the incident, Karnataka police inspected the ancient site and said the accused will be arrested soon.
